Bookyo-Konto löschen

Diese Seite gilt für die App „Bookyo“ (iPhone und Android) und für bookyo.org. Du kannst dein Konto jederzeit selbst löschen – sofort und ohne Begründung.

So geht es

Melde dich in der App oder im Browser auf bookyo.org an.
Öffne dein Profil und dort die Einstellungen.
Wähle „Konto löschen“ und bestätige mit deiner Anmeldung.

Das Konto wird direkt gelöscht. Danach bekommst du eine einzige Abschieds-E-Mail an die Adresse des Kontos.

Wenn du dich nicht mehr anmelden kannst

Schreib von der E-Mail-Adresse deines Kontos an kontakt@bookyo.org mit dem Betreff „Konto löschen“. Wir löschen das Konto dann für dich.

Was gelöscht wird

Das Konto selbst und alles, was daran hängt: Bücher, Lesesitzungen, Notizen und Zitate, Beiträge, Kommentare, Likes, Follows, Benachrichtigungen, Challenges, Beiträge in Buchclubs, Lernkreisen und Leserunden, eigene Lesepfade, Empfehlungen und Empfehlungslinks, Profilbild, Highlights, gespeicherte Beiträge, der Kontoauszug über Münzen und XP sowie dein Gespräch mit der Moderation. Laufende Leserunden bleiben ohne deinen Namen bestehen.

Was noch eine Zeit lang bleibt

Fehlerprotokolle: höchstens 90 Tage.
Antworten aus der freiwilligen Abschiedsumfrage (anonym): höchstens zwölf Monate.
Bescheide und Protokoll der Moderation: drei Jahre nach der Entscheidung – so lange kann über eine Entscheidung noch gestritten werden. Danach werden sie automatisch gelöscht.

Nur einzelne Daten löschen

Dafür musst du das Konto nicht löschen: Bücher, Sitzungen, Notizen, Beiträge, Kommentare und Storys kannst du in der App einzeln entfernen. Unter „Einstellungen → Backup“ bekommst du vorher eine Kopie deiner Daten.

Delete your Bookyo account

This page applies to the “Bookyo” app (iPhone and Android) and to bookyo.org. You can delete your account yourself at any time – immediately and without giving a reason.

How it works

Sign in to the app or to bookyo.org in your browser.
Open your profile and go to Settings.
Choose “Delete account” and confirm by signing in again.

The account is deleted right away. Afterwards you receive a single farewell email at the account’s address.

If you can no longer sign in

Write from your account’s email address to kontakt@bookyo.org with the subject “Delete account”. We will then delete the account for you.

What is deleted

The account itself and everything attached to it: books, reading sessions, notes and quotes, posts, comments, likes, follows, notifications, challenges, posts in book clubs, study circles and readalongs, the reading paths you created, recommendations and recommendation links, your profile photo, highlights, saved posts, your coins and XP statement and your conversation with the moderation team. Running readalongs remain without your name.

What is kept for a limited time

Error reports: 90 days at most.
Responses to the optional exit survey (anonymous): twelve months at most.
Moderation notices and the moderation log: three years after the decision – the period in which a decision can still be disputed. They are then deleted automatically.

Deleting only some of your data

You do not have to delete your account for that: books, sessions, notes, posts, comments and stories can be removed individually in the app. “Settings → Backup” gives you a copy of your data first.
